1. UPDATE: PRIOR to the latest update, I uninstalled/reinstalled & it seems to be working, though I lost the messaging history for a lot of messages.What happened? Verizon App Manager is downloading and installing games without my permission for the past week or so, and at the same time I'm getting repeated error msgs through Verizon Messages.

Otherwise, I've had many years of smooth, reliable use!!a pretty great messaging app, my only complaint is that when i recieve videos, they're very glitchy & low quality, sometimes not having audio at all, even if the original video from the sender was high quality and had audio.

I was reluctant to switch because I hoped the problems would be ironed out eventually but they've only gotten worse and I've had to switch to another app for good consistent performance.I have used this app for years, I recommended it to everyone who was jealous of my customizations, it truly has a lot of features that aren't available in any messaging apps I've found.

1. Fix Verizon Messages Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:

1. Restart Verizon Messages: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
2. Update the Verizon Messages App. Here is how:
   1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Verizon Messages" » Open Verizon Messages » click "Update".
   2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Verizon Messages » click "UPDATE".
3. Clear Verizon Messages app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Verizon Messages servers.
   1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Verizon Messages" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
4. Check Verizon Messages app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Verizon Messages might not work.
5. Uninstall and reinstall Verizon Messages. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Verizon Messages then reinstall.
6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Verizon Messages not working

1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Verizon Messages be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
