1. I've ended up having to clear storage and cache on the phone then uninstalling from both devices snd starting from scratch, sometimes it takes a few attempts to successfully do it.since recent upgrade I have not received text messages nor phone calls or voicemail alerts to my fossil smartwatch; only receive emails and calendar notifications... sooooooooo disappointed upgrades disable many of the functions I enjoy and enhance my daily activities.
2. Note that you need to enable this app "Wear Messages" and potentially disable notifications from other apps if you get duplicated notifications.when it works it's fine, but it seems very flaky and prone to randomly losing connection snd sync to the phone.
3. BUSY? --HAVE YOU CONSIDERED UPGRADING? The app freezes, doesn't connect to WhatsApp or Hangouts (or it doesn't show the messages), and it's constantly prompting to upgrade to the "full version" that allows you to do things like removing the preloaded signature on text messages.
4. I get all my notifications in one place, I can see historical messages in conversation when I couldn't before, I can see all my contacts if I want to send messages from the watch, and BEST OF ALL, for the pittance you have to pay for 'Pro' (less than a cup of coffee) I can set Vibration patterns for individual conversations or globally, either with preset patterns or by 'tapping' a custom pattern.
5. What people don't understand about it is that you have to have your default texting app (I use Textra) on your phone as well to receive messages through Wear Messages.
6. Replying from watch works sometimes, but usually says "phone not responding", but it may then send it after about 30 seconds.
7. *EDIT* For anyone else experiencing this (which appears to be a lot of you), install "Wear Installer" and you can sideload Messages onto your phoneUPGRADE.
8. Some messages have a pretty big delay from when received to when they show up on the watch.
9. Why do people spend hundreds on technology and hesitate to spend pocket change on something good? And if it doesn't work for you ( we know what Android is like) then you get a refund.
10. Thanks for the suggestion but your keyboard is difficult to use and doesn't allow for swyping which I find to be the quickest way to compose a text.
11. App looks great & is great for looking up past sms messages.
