Textr Customer Insights

1. Always a message is displayed 'either voice is not clear or there is too much background noise.' It never transcribed any of my voice file.

2. Even if its only required to translate registered voice messageI have used this app earlier it was working good but now whenever I try to convert the voice message it pop-up an error message as voice is not clear to readNot working at all.

3. Needs vast improvement.When transcribing a voice note in English from WhatsApp, it says "there is too much background noise"... When there is only a voice.

4. Bad app.time wastedTried to get this app to convert a very clear voice message in spoken German into text, and only received an error message.

5. No matter how perfect the voice note it always says can't heat it because its inclear or too much background noise.

6. It only says it could not because of background noise or voice not clear enough.

7. To test i my self recorded a message in my voice.

8. Even when there is no noise at.The app only transcribes a small portion of the voicemail from WhatsApp.

9. It always says too much noise in the backrround.

10. I have tried it dozens of times and it selects about 5 seconds of the voicemail at random.... the rest is lostVery fake.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Textr Issues

1. Fix Textr Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Textr: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Textr App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Textr" » Open Textr - Voice Message to Text » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Textr » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Textr - Voice Message to Text app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Textr servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Textr - Voice Message to Text" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Textr app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Textr might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Textr. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Textr then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Textr not working


2. Fix Textr Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Textr be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Textr not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Textr may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
