The Source Customer Insights

1. Continues to say no data connection, cannot use onsite some of the time, doesn't retain data, cannot take pictures in the app... I could continue but I won't.

2. The account reps are very polite and pleasant to deal with, the mobile app is not always avail for input,depending on the job chosen but when used as long as you have a strong signal it works great!App used to work great for about five or six months.

3. I enjoy being able to complete assignments using this app, but the saving during loss of internet is a hassle.The app used to work great, but it has not worked properly for 8 months.

4. Half the time mobile check in doesn't track your location correctly and you cannot check in standing INSIDE the store.

5. Hopefully this time is the charmThe app has a fatal network area, and after 5 attempts, I cannot apply.

6. I end up having to use my web browser in order to finish the reportAs of 1/1/2021, Trendsource expects their field agents to input data on site.

7. I spend more time in this app than expected because if the internet connection is lost at least 55% of the time you can't get back into it to save what you've already completed.

8. Also, when you look at any app and there's as many one-star ratings as there are five-star ratings, you don't want to use it, because it doesn't work.

9. The majority of the time it doesn't save it on the first and sometimes the second try.

10. As of now not impressed.Can look at most of the things can start a project then unable to complete because you can't upload photos or answer any of the questions.

11. And the developer is clearly a moron.I'm trying to setup an account, it keeps saying it can't because of a network error.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix The Source Issues

1. Fix The Source Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:

  3. Clear The Source Mobile app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from The Source servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "The Source Mobile" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check The Source app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, The Source might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall The Source. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall The Source then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing The Source not working


2. Fix The Source Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make The Source be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to The Source not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, The Source may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
