1. Why hasn't this app been fixed? It's apparent I am not the only one experiencing app quality issues.Why on earth hasn't this app been updated since 2021? T-Mobile is successful, right? I have just spent an hour trying to get enhanced caller information (renamed business something but not in the app) to work on my phone and no matter what I do (reboots, reinstalls, checking for updates, verifying permissions) it says it didn't work and to try again another time.

2. Sprints visual voicemail app sucked, this is even worse! We are not getting off on a very good start T-mobile! Update, the other day TMobile "upgraded" and I use that term loosely, now it's even worse than before, I can no longer playback messages thru my vehicle audio system via Bluetooth, I can still make calls thru BT.

3. A third visual voicemail app was installed which was sucessfully activated and it retained the 3 voicemails I had in this app before the update.

4. I'm on a pre-paid plan, and neither this nor the regular T-Mobile app work for me, with a message similar to, "We're not quite ready for you yet." Which means fO_Ok pre-paid customers.

5. 6/30/2023 Edit: Somehow, after getting the old app to reinstall and work, it upgraded itself again and is now functioning.I, like many others, have had no success with the complete operation of this app.

6. For example, I get voicemail all the time and since I hate dialing into my voicemail, I check the visual voicemal app.

7. If that doesn't work, I'll be switching carriers.The update made this app useless for me.

8. Also, I just got a new phone and there was no way to transfer my existing voicemails, all it allowed me to do was save them as files.It has not worked at all in nearly a year.

9. Now, after 9 months of never receiving one voice-mail on this app, I suddenly and getting the notification that the app has low me memory space, and won't be downloading new vm until I delete old ones.

10. Ultimately they asked me to take my phone into a store, which bewildered the store staff since they have no tech support there.

11. My voicemail box has been full for 2 years.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix T- Issues

1. Fix T- Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart T-: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the T- App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "T-" » Open T-Mobile Visual Voicemail » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for T- » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear T-Mobile Visual Voicemail app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from T- servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "T-Mobile Visual Voicemail" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check T- app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, T- might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall T-. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall T- then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing T- not working


2. Fix T- Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make T- be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to T- not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, T- may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
