1. Tapping Open takes you back to "Update the App" screen, an endless loop! UPDATE: the issue seems to have resolved itself and is now functional.Horrible app... never shows that I got a voicemail! Every call I miss I have to open the app to see if someone left a message, because I missed important messages and didn't know till it was too late.

2. Never got a return call from customer service or IT support.Does not receive voicemails unless I open the app and swipe down to load new messages.

3. What happened to the classic voice-mail that would notify me the second someone leaves a message? The voice-mail that I have to call into or hold down the number 1 on the keypad to access? Transcription doesn't work 99.9% of the time.

11. You hit play and see the bar moving but don't hear anything! So I'm forced to call into the voicemail box to listen.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Xfinity Issues

1. Fix Xfinity Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Xfinity: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Xfinity App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Xfinity" » Open Xfinity Mobile Voicemail » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Xfinity » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Xfinity Mobile Voicemail app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Xfinity servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Xfinity Mobile Voicemail" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Xfinity app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Xfinity might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Xfinity. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Xfinity then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Xfinity not working


2. Fix Xfinity Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Xfinity be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Xfinity not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Xfinity may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
