About Gear IconX Plugin

1. The Samsung Gear application has to be installed first for the Gear IconX application to operate normally. ※ Please allow the permissions of the Gear IconX Manager in Android Settings to use all the features in Android 6. 0 or later.

2. The Gear IconX Manager allows you to use features such as device settings and status view when connected to a Gear IconX device.

3. If your system software version is lower than Android 6. 0, please update the software to configure App permissions.

4. This application does not work alone because this is a component of the Samsung Gear application.

5. For optional permissions, the default functionality of the service is turned on, but not allowed.

6. The following permissions are required for the app service.

7. Previously allowed permissions can be reset on Apps menu in device settings after software update.

Heart rate no longer functions, nor does the ambient sound feature.The app keeps crashing and will only allow me no matter how many times I try connect one side even with a reset you would think that Samsung would have it together by now as much as this item costs can you please fix the bugs on this app so that I can properly use my headset and give you five stars.App cant b found or open...might b a plug in somewhere just make it easier to access like a launch control tap or something....installed with the iconX 2018...plz helpWon't let me click on it and don't know why.

I would very much appreciated if ambient Sound worked even if it doesn't sense it is being used correctly, I can't count the amount of times I had to fiddle with it in my ears to get the Ambient sound mode to work and I also occasionally hear Type of beep sound in the left one as if it's about to loose connection or something, it interferes with the music so I would like to be able to just turn off that stuff, also could we have a feature where Ambient sound gets turned on automaticallyI Really like the shape and stile of the IconX.

I can not adjust the volume or do anything else with these stupid ear buds because they're so picky about your finger movements or just being in your ear, they stop playing it do funny things as you do daily activities such as sit as your desk and type away... I'm beyond frustrated.You must first download the Galaxy Wearable app then you will be prompted to download the correct plugin for your particular smart device.

4. Samsung and their million apps for every product is a Rats Nest I no longer care to untangle.I have Andriod 9 software and I downloaded this app but it is no where to be found on my phone ? Very strange.

5. It works great on my Motorola phoneBroken since Android 11 Every since upgrading to Android 11, this app crashes (from the background) any time I connect my earbuds.

6. The app, when it did open, wouldn't work on my non Samsung phone.

7. Now on my new non Samsung phone, the app won't even open.

8. Please update it and add even the basic featuresThis was one of the biggest wastes of money buying these ear buds.

9. I can't find the wearable app either for some reasonZERO STARS! Newer phones don't have the support for these products, apparently.

10. This is just the plugin for the IconX ear buds.

11. Once downloaded it doesn't even say open on it.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Gear IconX Plugin Issues

1. Fix Gear IconX Plugin Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Gear IconX Plugin: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Gear IconX Plugin App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Gear IconX Plugin" » Open Gear IconX Plugin » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Gear IconX Plugin » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Gear IconX Plugin app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Gear IconX Plugin servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Gear IconX Plugin" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Gear IconX Plugin app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Gear IconX Plugin might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Gear IconX Plugin. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Gear IconX Plugin then reinstall.
