1. Pre-installed by the phone manufacturer, this service allows you to connect ANT+ devices to apps on your phone.
2. The ANT Radio Service and ANT+ Plugins Service applications provide a wireless connectivity service, similar to Bluetooth or WiFi, but with very low power.
3. If, in the future, you require the ability to connect to services and devices via ANT+, just enable the service again.
4. NOTE: Since this is a factory installed service, it may enable/re-download if you reset and/or update your phone. Don’t panic!
5. This service is standard software, included by the manufacturer of your phone.
6. Since this service is standard software, you’re unable to delete it from your phone.
7. For example, on a 16GB phone, this service takes up 0. 0013% of space.
8. We do not pay phone manufacturers to have this service pre-installed.
9. Using the ANT+ plugins in your app to communicate with ANT+ devices is quick, easy, free and uses a simple API.
10. Disabling this service will not affect your phone’s software.
11. Instead, you can disable this service by following the manufacturer’s instructions.
1. If it's preinstalled on your device, it means your device's hardware supports the ANT+ communication protocol, (Similar to Bluetooth and NFC) and this driver is required for it to function.
2. So I neither score this high nor low.. to be fair a Middle rating is prudent, minus the support and any helpfull walkthrough bubbles at each step detracts from an already mediocre score.. I do apologise to developer for lacking the IT skills to test this app thoroughly as a bare minimum. This is a driver.
3. Anytime you create a new contact they turn back on.Unfortunately I am still unable to figure out this apps true purpose, its placement within the Android and chrome OS & filesystem, and Subsequently was unable to test, or experience the app's usefulness.
4. I wasn't sure what it was for or where it came from, but after Google'ing found out it is pretty important for connecting some of my wireless devices such as fitness trackers and watches.
5. It will not run or use system resources (RAM, battery, CPU, etc), unless a running app requires the ANT+ communication protocol.
6. (watches, fitness trackers, etc) This driver cannot be uninstalled for the same reasons you cannot uninstall the Wifi driver, or the NFC driver, or the Bluetooth driver.
7. This is the software that the device uses to manage its ability to transmit and received data via 3g 4g 5g etc with out it your phone will not function as fast as it is capable of.
8. The ANT+ protocol was developed by Garmin, and is frequently to communicate with smart devices.
9. If it was built into the system, updating it would require a system update, which would have to be approved and pushed by the device manufacturers.
10. They use Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and data to triangelate your position at all times including sniffing in your personal information, texts, phone etc.
11. It's probably in Play Store, and not built into the operating system (like most of the other drivers are) to allow for easier updates.
