Private Passport Customer Insights

1. Looked through all sorts of settings and permissions, can find no reason why alerts aren't coming through.1-star for Boomer-style client relations and layering fees.

2. I get a notification saying I need to upgrade.. I click on it and it takes me to a screen to open the app which is already installed.

3. 20 minutes to get 1 check deposited.Inconsistent - I get debit alerts for awhile and then after update they go away.

4. notification to UpgradeGives me notice that the app is not supported on "rooted" devices, except my phone is entirely stock Pixel 2 XL.

5. Best bank ever! Their personal touch and engagement with their clients is unmatched in any bank I've ever dealt with!worst electronic deposit app I've ever used.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Private Passport Issues

1. Fix Private Passport Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Private Passport: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Private Passport App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Private Passport" » Open Private Passport Mobile » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Private Passport » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Private Passport Mobile app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Private Passport servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Private Passport Mobile" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Private Passport app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Private Passport might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Private Passport. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Private Passport then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Private Passport not working


2. Fix Private Passport Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Private Passport be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Private Passport not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Private Passport may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
