1. The train names are different to the actual trains half the time, and not being able to view the route and destinations of the selected train, I'm not going to risk going in damn circles and wasting time.Use to be the best app for Japan Travel.
2. I really like the ability to filter routes by passes you have and the means of transportation, and showing the total price of each trip.Good app to search immediate connections, saves your searches so you can revisit them if you planned some route.
3. It does not exist! No such depature time or train number at this station! Google told me a train and platform that is real.
4. Garbage app.Planning my itinerary has been an awesome experience! You can't add custom locations and customizing your preferred route can be a bit of a hassle at times.
5. Once it gets closer to my vacation, I'll see how effective this proves.Great app for first time travelers to Japan.
6. The best routes sometimes only provide short transit times which can be difficult if you don't know the actual situation and conditions or are traveling with children.I used to love this app.
7. However, the app is now requiring an expensive paid subscription (15k yen/1 year) to use the full station list feature.
8. You can put in your passes - JR pass or Hakone Free pass and many others and the app then prioritize connections which use your passes.Very hit and miss.
9. Unfortunately, it is progressively locking more and more useful features behind it's Premium only accounts.Very handy for this American tourist I'm Japan.
10. (If it already does,, I am not sure how to work it.)but overall,, this app has been a great help to me when I was prepping for my trip🥰I would be so lost without this app.
11. End up using it to confirm Gmaps suggestions are JPass friendly instead of being able to use it exclusively because I can't trust it.
I would like to cancel the JapanTravel app.subscription. Thanks
