Why should I report an Issue with HyperDia - Japan Rail Search?

1. AppContacter will directly Email your issue/feedback to an apps's customer service once you report an issue and with lots of issues reported, companies will definitely listen to you.
2. Pulling issues faced by users like you is a good way to draw attention of Hitachi Systems, Ltd. to your problem using the strength of crowds.
3. Importantly, customers can learn from other customers in case the issue is a common problem that has been solved before.

1. I MUST enter the right hyphens (?) and spaces - why can't it autocorrect from its own database?! Why can't it display station names and train routes in Japanese to match up with signage in Japan? For JRP only filter Nozomi AND Mizuho AND Hayabusa? The Hayabusa has been available for JRP for years!This app used to work, yet for some reason lately, the website seems to work much better.

2. I can understand why people would prefer the app, but if I want to find a train line from Namba in Osaka to anywhere else within Kansai starting at 10 AM, I will be shown a train trip starting between 5 and 6 AMon our last visit 2010 the website was our go to... with this app, it just didn't work.

3. It provides enough information to plan and price a trip, but unless you can read Japanese very well actually taking a trip with it will be difficult because, it doesn't provide platform numbers for where to catch your train.

4. In its current state, this is a good app, but still very much a work in progress.This app really shows lots of info that is otherwise hard to find, for example compared to Google maps navigation.

5. Just make sure to get the station name right and you'll be golden.Excellent app for Japan Trains just like the website.

6. You can use the website, make a shortcut icon...Tried testing this in preparation for an upcoming trip and it's unusable.

7. Which makes things difficult for people who aren't proficient in Japanese, especially if you're transferring at an unfamiliar station.

8. If you travel far with local trains in Japan, some will have extra fees along the way depending on how far you go, and this app actually shows that info.

9. Another useful feature would be English instructions for purchasing tickets for specific trips from the various kiosks and probably also one-man cars.

10. aside the fact, that Japanese write their stations differently (n to m in spoken language), it was hard to navigate or get any result.

11. The only downside is you can only download this in Japan so make this the first app you download when you land.App not updated since 2015.

1. Fix HyperDia Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:

1. Restart HyperDia: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
2. Update the HyperDia App. Here is how:
   1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "HyperDia" » Open HyperDia - Japan Rail Search » click "Update".
   2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for HyperDia » click "UPDATE".
3. Clear HyperDia - Japan Rail Search app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from HyperDia servers.
   1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "HyperDia - Japan Rail Search" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
4. Check HyperDia app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, HyperDia might not work.
5. Uninstall and reinstall HyperDia. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall HyperDia then reinstall.
6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing HyperDia not working

2. Fix HyperDia Server issues & Internet Connection

1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make HyperDia be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to HyperDia not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, HyperDia may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
