1. I would type in my departure and destination points and then take to a train station ticket office and show them my JRPass and my app and they would then give me all the necessary tickets.Excellent app! Easy to find places, helpful route suggestions, fast to load, last search stays on page after i go offline.
2. -Still don't understand why platform numbers are listed with a decimal sometimes ("Platform 3.4" and not either "Platform 3" or "Platform 4") If the instruction is an "either/or" situation, please use "/" instead of "." -Please add the car# closest to the escalator at the exiting station! Better for handicappedCant even select which types of trains to use.
3. The app however doesn't specify all station numbers which could be a useful information to English-speaking tourists when we listen to the subway announcement. What can I say? This is one fantastic app if you are travelling in Japan.
4. A small Suggestion for improvement would be to include the station number of Departure Station and Arrival stations for user convenience.Used it for 3 weeks of travel in Japan.
5. Would be better if: - when you are to transfer stations (not just platforms), it said "Transfer to __ train station" not just "Transfer" with the next platform.
6. Only major fault: only takes into account trains and not buses, which were sometimes the best option.I used this app for my 1-week vacation trip in Japan.
7. Same results as Google maps would give.A great Helpful App to Navigate in all Trains and Shinkansen.
8. Once you do, it will not only show which trains to take but all the stops in between and whether you need to also get a reserved seat ticket.
9. English and Japanese names of places show in search results. The app works well.
10. One issue I have as a tourist using it is that it doesn't detect your location when airplane mode is on, even though location is active along with WiFi.
11. You do need tobset your preference to JRPass and set time at or before you wish to depart or arrive.
