Dynamics 365 Remote Assist Customer Insights

1. I do have a teams account.Interesting idea, I wanted to try this for work but could not get past the login screen.

2. Login is wierd in that Microsoft Authenticator pops up, you select the account you want to use, but then it asks again for username and password to be entered.

3. Basically useless until this is fixed.Unable to start 30-day free trial because it requires work microsoft account.

4. Teams integration is great for businesses that use the Microsoft suite!Running on Android.

5. Doesn't seem like this app has been tested well.Couldn't get through the login screen.

6. After log in, I was then presented with an error message of "Encountered an Error" - HttpRequestException: 404 (Not Found) on the Contacts screen.

7. To login, need to have teams app.

8. I would like to try with a personal Microsoft account that is not joined to an azure AD.

9. Not a great experience to initially get it set up (requires Teams account).

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Dynamics 365 Remote Assist Issues

1. Fix Dynamics 365 Remote Assist Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Dynamics 365 Remote Assist: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Dynamics 365 Remote Assist App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Dynamics 365 Remote Assist" » Open Dynamics 365 Remote Assist » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Dynamics 365 Remote Assist » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Dynamics 365 Remote Assist app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Dynamics 365 Remote Assist servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Dynamics 365 Remote Assist" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Dynamics 365 Remote Assist app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Dynamics 365 Remote Assist might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Dynamics 365 Remote Assist. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Dynamics 365 Remote Assist then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Dynamics 365 Remote Assist not working


2. Fix Dynamics 365 Remote Assist Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Dynamics 365 Remote Assist be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Dynamics 365 Remote Assist not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Dynamics 365 Remote Assist may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
