Xbox Game Pass Customer Insights

1. WiFi connection seems to be mostly playable depending on the game.Great selection of games but many of them run poorly while others play silky smooth.

2. Other than that, it's awesome to be able to game out to an awesome library of games mobile, with very little performance or quality difference as on a PC or console.As many others have noted, app crashes on startup.

3. Update: I keep getting a message when I open a game telling that I'm "signed into other devices" even tho I DON'T HAVE ANY OTHER DEVICES TO BE SIGNED INTO.Hasn't allowed me to sign in at all for weeks so it's been useless to me.

4. If I play at home on WiFi, there is very little input lag at all, and it streams as smooth as can be.I've been subscribed to Xbox Game Pass since day one.

5. Would love to send an error report so the team can go through and see where the issue is occurring.Can't say I'm surprised, being as it's been several Years since Cloud gaming was released and the application of it is Poorly handled.

6. Then you close and reopen the app and it doesn't show the games you last played or lets you play them.

7. As soon as they released that you could play Xbox games on your phone or tablet I was totally down with that.

8. This is an issue I've had since I started using Game Pass back in Dec 2021.

9. As far as streaming the games goes, your experience will vary entirely on your network connection.

10. I wish however, the game I'm streaming doesn't close when I put Game Pass into the background.

11. Before that the images would never load for games, but I could at least still use it to remote downloading, putting games on lists, and completing quests.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Xbox Game Pass Issues

1. Fix Xbox Game Pass Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Xbox Game Pass: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Xbox Game Pass App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Xbox Game Pass" » Open Xbox Game Pass » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Xbox Game Pass » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Xbox Game Pass app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Xbox Game Pass servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Xbox Game Pass" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Xbox Game Pass app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Xbox Game Pass might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Xbox Game Pass. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Xbox Game Pass then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Xbox Game Pass not working

  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Xbox Game Pass be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Xbox Game Pass not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Xbox Game Pass may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
