MAPS.ME Customer Insights
1. Only thing i could recommend to improve it would be to be able to save an image of yourmap with your waypoints on it or to be able to save a map in a format that can be saved and stored on a phone or PC for backup purposes because my last phone got destroyedand i lost 500 or so waypoints from travelling all summer and waypointing all the cool spots.This is my most used app for the last seven years of full time traveling.
2. For $50+ premium access there are better apps with the same source used.Great app for offline maps when in places where you have no access to a data plan and/or wireless.
3. A few times when travelling to less popular spots where Google Map was completely wrong and got me lost, I was saved by maps.me. Have used it in 35+ countries & the driving directions are also great.
4. They are only getting 2 stars (instead of 1) because previously downloaded maps can still be updated.Lacks any in app tutorial and there is none that is satisfactory on the Internet (and I have used many different GPS/OSM apps over many years).
5. Tried to reinstall: now the downloaded maps have no roads.I used to love this app but I hate the more recent updates.
6. Unfortunately, their recent unannounced download limit for free users is just plain awful (10 maps is way too few for general use).
7. I just entered to download map of another country I'm going to and a bad surprise... I'm over free limit with previously downloaded maps.
8. Only complaint is, all of my saved data points over many years got destroyed (due to an update?) and the roadmap for restoration was not clear.The Only app you should be using for offline directions.
9. Extremely detailed maps which show more than just roadways, but also local attractions, various land types, parking lots, and even some trails within parks.
10. I keep getting a "no available space" error when trying to add new maps (two different devices, both with plenty of space in system and SD card).
11. Auto car mode, start button coveting info, navigation tab for half of the screen... Bad, bad, badI used to love this app, but with the latest updates it's more buggy than ever.
Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix MAPS.ME Issues
1. Fix MAPS.ME Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:
- Restart MAPS.ME: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
- Update the MAPS.ME App. Here is how:
- On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "MAPS.ME" » Open MAPS.ME: Offline maps GPS Nav » click "Update".
- On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for MAPS.ME » click "UPDATE".
- Clear MAPS.ME: Offline maps GPS Nav app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from MAPS.ME servers.
- On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "MAPS.ME: Offline maps GPS Nav" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
- Check MAPS.ME app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, MAPS.ME might not work.
- Uninstall and reinstall MAPS.ME. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall MAPS.ME then reinstall.
- Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing MAPS.ME not working
2. Fix MAPS.ME Server issues & Internet Connection
- Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make MAPS.ME be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
- Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to MAPS.ME not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
- Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, MAPS.ME may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.

Hi. I have a subscription on MAPS.ME until November 2024 on my iPhone however when I try to download maps I can’t saying I reached the limit and when I try to restore purchase this is the message I’m receiving: Subscription is linked to another MAPS.ME account

Hey,
I pay a subscription to maps.me pro. I had a map of wales. I had all my book marks ( probably hundreds). Unfortunately, I lost my phone. Everything was supposed to be backed up. My book marks are not showing on my new mobile. Is there any way to access these bookmarks. Kind Regards

Recently on my iPhone 12 if I zoom in on my map the bookmarks disappear. If I zoom out again then they are visible ?

For the Google maps app on my iPhone can create a list of links (commands) in a text document to start the Google Maps and show the route for navigation, like:
comgooglmaps://?saddr=N52.0197825,E4.43189378&daddr=N52.0901719,E5.1179284+toN52.3665391,E4.9052175
This opens google maps app and shows a route with one intermediate stop
I like to use maps.me for offline navigation but up to now I could not find information or documentation to create commands, like above for the google maps app, To prepare my journey I want to make a list of commands for all daytrips ta navigate from my location via one or more in between points to an endpoint.
Is it possible to create links for maps.me to start maps.me app and show a route ?
if yes, please explain with some examples these commands.

When arrived in Salvador I used your free trial, but it’s too expensive, so I chose google maps and cancelled my trial immediately, but I was charged today, I just saw this! I don’t need maps.me, I don’t want to pay for the maps 50$ when we have google maps, I canceled my trial next day, so why charge? Requesting refund and I’ll forget about MAPS.ME; thanks in advance

I changed the subscription to Monthly, rather than annually and want to know if i will receive credit for the remainder of the $58.00 that was charged. Dear team,
I registered for a free trial with Maps.me and I went to cancel the subscription today so indont get charged, But unfortunately the charge has already gone through. I have been travelling internationally and didn’t have Internet for quite some hours during transit. I know it was my fault for being late for a few hours but I would appeal to your understanding of this situation. I can provide Transit flight tickets so you have proof that I wasn’t able to cancel the subscription just in time if that would help in anyway.
If you could Refund the $119 that was deducted from my card, I would very much, greatly appreciate it.

I purchased Maps.Me premium on Oct.29,2023 and have no account. Have been using it for years without an account as far as I know. With the new purchase my old account and all info has disappeared when I try to access my old data I get that that is another account. What can I do. Please help.

I probably made a mistake trying maps.me free for 3 days. I couldn’t use the app in aruba and was getting errors, so i cancelled the suscription. However I still was charged for a year. TThere is no phone number, no customer serviceWhat process do i need to to refund? I need your help to get my money back

For many years, I have added the name to the place but now that place has changed to be private place. so the owner of the place require me to delete it urgently because it bothers their living, then i go for OpenSreetMap to deleted it now every maps disappeared but only maps.me still appears so i need you to help update or delete it by the link below:
