Day Customer Insights

1. The sync to calendar feature is so messed up that it will either not update with new shifts, or it will place 2-4 identical shifts on my calendar for every single shift! And when I try to delete the extra ones, it deletes all of them.

2. The last update was the worst possible thing to happen to an already horrible product.Been using Dayforce because of my work and have only had minor, resolvable issues over the past few years.

3. I've had to use the browser version (which is not very mobile friendly) multiple times just to see my schedule or message my coworkers.This app is always crashing and my schedule does not always update timely.

4. And there is a possibility this screen had updated since they last logged in.It works, but my calender keeps crashing, and it won't synce with my calendar when I try.

5. With each update as of late, however, I am getting more and more frustrated as the Calendar tab leads to error messages and does not load.

6. While that doesn't seem to be a big deal, employees claim they are seeing things in their schedule that are not there simply because the last screen remains open when you return to the app.

7. Looking at my schedule is difficult now, and scrolling up forces the calendar into a weekly mode.

8. When I sync it to my Google calendar, it ends up adding multiple events.

9. It doesn't refresh the calendar with updated shifts.

10. Now it takes forever to load, and the calendar layout is chaotic.

11. Please, please revert it back to pre May 9th aesthetics! You had a good thing going!Terrible update.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Day Issues

1. Fix Day Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Day: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Day App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Day" » Open Dayforce » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Day » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Dayforce app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Day servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Dayforce" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Day app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Day might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Day. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Day then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Day not working


2. Fix Day Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Day be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Day not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Day may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
