1. Yet it continues to send me emails to update my account, but when I try it just returns me to the same old chat from days ago.The chat feature is interesting and it is easy to update info, but the reporting of income is too simplistic for my purposes.Won't create an account....iv uninstalled and tried several times, but the app keeps resetting itself the opening screen 🤷 ♂️ using a Samsung S23 Ultra"You're registered! Now enjoy all the great features!" WHAT great features? In the app, it's literally just my information, customer service, and the option of taking photos for who knows what.

2. So....WHAT great features? It's pretty damn bare.Took two attempts to get a password that the app accepted, and it only accepted it once.

3. There is a text chat box instead of a menu, so you don't know what your options are.It does not work.

4. Some forms require formats that don't make sense (it required my EIN for city taxes, and my city uses my federal EIN, but the app wouldn't take it).

5. Every time I try to edit it gives me back the same chat.

6. I drive with DoorDash and I was thinking of using this app for the convenience of figuring out how much to set aside for taxes and expenses but apparently this app is not for everyone.

7. Multiple contacts with IT and still does not work.Worst app I've ever seen.

8. No point in suggesting it to anyone who drives for a gig delivery service not sure why Google play would even think it would be useful.

9. Why does it have such a high rating? You have to have it installed to give it a review.

10. It says to click on the edit icon to edit, but there are no icons.

11. It asks for the same bits of information multiple times.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Roll Issues

1. Fix Roll Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Roll: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Roll App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Roll" » Open Roll by ADP – Easy Payroll App » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Roll » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Roll by ADP – Easy Payroll App app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Roll servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Roll by ADP – Easy Payroll App" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Roll app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Roll might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Roll. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Roll then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Roll not working


2. Fix Roll Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Roll be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Roll not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Roll may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
