1. Monitor California ISO power grid conditions, prices and renewable production, receive notifications and track calendar events with this free mobile application. • Monitor available resource adequacy capacity to identify when energy supply might be tight, up to 7 days in advance. • View grid status and available capacity measured against the current demand and the forecasted peak. • View renewables and supply graphs as stacked charts. • View peak and daily production data for past dates on the renewables trend graph. • View breakdown of supply and renewables serving the ISO. • View wholesale energy prices on the price map.
2. Use the slider to easily filter out nodes based on Location Marginal Prices (LMP). • Compare demand and net demand plus historic data. • Users can receive Flex Alerts to notify them when conservation is needed, get energy system notifications, along with ability to add ISO meetings and events to their calendar.
3. As the nonprofit public-benefit corporation ensuring reliability for most of California's and a portion of Nevada's high-voltage power grid, the California Independent System Operator (ISO) is helping advance a smarter, cleaner, and more reliable energy future.
4. The ISO operates a competitive energy market that balances supply with demand and has a key role in achieving clean energy goals in the West.
1. I assume the CA ISO API being used is being overwhelmed with connections.App is good when it has access to data; but, over a week ago there was nothing showing, and nobody responded to my inquiry to their Twitter account; I just discovered it's got data again.
2. When I first installed it I thought it was abandoned, because nothing happened, it just showed a blank screen, for several minutes. This app is great! It shows a lot of interesting information about whats going on with current power consumption, max capacity, and estimated demand through out the day.
3. It needs alot of work to make it actually more usable beyond basic info.Very informative, however this site needs more capacity to handle heightened traffic volumes-getting stalling while pages don't load, and some features don't respond when selected.
4. By using split tunneling to exclude this app from VPN coverage, I resolved the data block.Good when it works, but that's not that often.
5. The only this that can be annoying is during peak hours, probably when lots of people are using the app, the app seems unable to pull data and says to check your network connection.
6. I can track demand vs supplies; see renewable resources increase and decreaseGood app with lots of great data.
7. Something changed in the interface between the app and its data source (likely an update in their system), which caused access to their data by the app to be blocked.
8. Good app for viewing CAISO data and receiving push notifications for various alerts.
9. Several glitches, some may relate to system being overwhelmed, app deficiencies include status lines on main page simply display UNKNOWN.
10. Solid UI and very appealing visualizations.App is useful for giving you some of the critical information about the power grid however.... the app does not resume unless you close it and force stop.
11. Closing the app doesn't fix the problem, but it will fix itself eventually if left alone and I'll be able to open the app again later.I'm using this on a One+3 with the font size 1 above default.
