1. SmaRT Ride is similar to other ride-share services where customers can use a smartphone app to request a ride that will pick up and drop off passengers wherever they wish to travel within designated service boundaries.
2. Please understand that while we make every effort to arrive at your desired travel time, you may have a slight wait for the SmaRT Ride bus arrival due to demand.
3. New service areas offer corner-to-corner service where passengers are picked up and dropped off at the nearest corner or ‘virtual bus stop,’ which is usually within a block or two of their pickup or drop-off location.
4. The app will provide you with an estimated pick-up time and you will be able to track your bus in real-time, and be alerted when your ride is about to arrive.
5. SmaRT Ride takes cash and all SacRT fare media including Connect Card, Zip Pass, RydeFreeRT and discount passes.
6. SmaRT Ride operates from 7 a. m. to 7 p. m. with the exception of Downtown-Midtown-East Sacramento, which operates from 7 a. m. to 10 p. m. and Citrus Heights-Antelope-Orangevale, which operates from 6 a. m. to 9 p. m. Visit sacrt. com/smartride for details.
7. Because this is a ride-sharing service, actual drop-off time may vary due to demand.
8. Current service areas offer curb-to-curb service where passengers are picked up and dropped off at the address they indicated when scheduling.
9. A computer program matches you in real-time with a SmaRT Ride bus in your area that will pick you up.
10. If you must arrive at your destination at a specified time, we recommend planning your trip to include a time cushion.
11. SmaRT Ride customers can also request rides by calling 916-556-0100.
1. Please get more divers and fix this useless appSmartRide has been at high capacity since they expanded their territory n at times it's as hard to book a ride over the phone.. the app works smoothly n im eventually able to get a ride with it.. just takes a little patience..The app works just like Uber.
2. If you request a ride after someone that was picked up in your area it makes you wait until the ride is complete or another ride is headed in your direction to book a ride.
3. Queue me! Just Queue me!!! I'm fine with waiting for a while if I have to, but theres a difference between waiting, and actively trying to simply get queued.Spent about 40 mins actively trying to request a ride only to get the message that they are booked and try again later.
4. When it's not and I know it's not because I was literally standing outside the bus several times, it was empty.Whenever I request a ride, it says the service is full.
5. Honestly I preferred just having to wait an hour to never being able to get a ride in the first place.
6. This is a huge downgrade from the app that at least let you book a ride, and having you wait to hours.
7. My main problem is when I try and request a ride it says "it's currently full".
8. Every time I go to book a ride it's always at capacity.
9. An Uber or Lyft would have cost $12, but this trip only cost me $2.50! Finally we have a cheaper alternative to get around in downtown Sacramento. This transport system is good for folks who have disabilities children, & those with no means of travel.
10. On top of that the new drivers sometimes can't find the pickup address and will cancel your ride.
11. When I try to get a ride it says I already booked a ride.
