About Smartplay Studio

1. It provides information to the phone user about the other apps that are accessible through the SmartPlay Studio-infotainment UI or apps that can communicate with the infotainment system to control certain functionalities.

2. It also provides information to the SmartPlay Studio on apps that can be accessed from the SmartPlay Studio infotainment and their installation status.

3. A companion app meant for Maruti Suzuki SmartPlay Studio infotainment system.

4. It connects over Bluetooth or USB and does handshaking with infotainment to identify it as SmartPlay Studio infotainment system.

5. This app shall work only with select range of Maruti Suzuki models and audio systems.

Smartplay Studio Customer Insights

1. After purchasing the new Ertiga Zxi i was told by the showroom that the infotainment system will get integrated with the android phone for enhanced and hassel free experience, however despite of downloading and sync the app number of times it doesn't work.

2. The worst experience I had with this app as since 3 months I am looking to enter my car details it continues denied as mobile number is not matched with the Vin number as well as with the registration number.Not able to login to the app.

3. Maruti need to resolve such issues at the earliest.After entering the phone number, the app doesn't move forward at all, meanwhile the phone receives the OTP.

4. Kindly solve the issue.After entering valid phone number to send OTP "something went wrong" message displayed.

5. & When you enter VIN followed by mobile number, it says mobile number doesn't match.

6. It is showing mobile number doesn't match with VIN or Reg#.

7. I think is not at all useful to the Maruti car user and Smartplay studio is a app which is for publicity not to use.Poorest application by renowned car selling company in India.

8. Finally thought of writing a review and was surprised to see all similar comments.. never expected this from Suzuki, giving 1* rating.Unable to use the app , while punching VIN OR REG No.

9. Showrooms dont care beyond getting the payment for vehicle and palm off rest everything on customer on some or other pretext.

10. The interface that this app has is pathetic.Unable login.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Smartplay Studio Issues

1. Fix Smartplay Studio Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Smartplay Studio: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Smartplay Studio App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Smartplay Studio" » Open Smartplay Studio » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Smartplay Studio » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Smartplay Studio app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Smartplay Studio servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Smartplay Studio" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Smartplay Studio app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Smartplay Studio might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Smartplay Studio. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Smartplay Studio then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Smartplay Studio not working


2. Fix Smartplay Studio Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Smartplay Studio be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Smartplay Studio not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Smartplay Studio may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
