1. The app provides 3 main services for users: notifying people if they had contact with others confirmed to be infected with coronavirus; also, providing them help by sending their health forms to the Ministry of Health to provide them necessary medical support according to the status and progress of the case; in addition to enabling those confirmed to be infected with coronavirus to voluntarily share their tests' results with people they had contact with during the past 14 days.
2. The app was developed by the National Information Center NIC of the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority SDAIA, in close cooperation with the Ministry of Health MoH as the official contact tracing application in Saudi Arabia.
3. Tabaud app for smartphones is one of the latest government efforts in Saudi Arabia to combat and contain the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic via Apple/Google Exposure Notification API.
4. Use of the app requires no information or location sharing, as it relies on Bluetooth technology to gather and refresh IDs randomly.
5. Tabaud completely respects user privacy.
6. In case the user wants to start the medical procedure of testing for coronavirus, the Ministry of Health regulations require providing main information, such as: name, National or Residence ID number, and date of birth.
1. It should be using the civil ID to synch with MOH records automatically for test results updates.I'm sure the technology works fine, but: a) it's absolutely useless unless 60% of the country downloads it (very far off that right now, and not likely to change) and b) no one is going to self-report themselves as COVID-19 positive on a government app. This app will work with Bluetooth which is useless service.
2. I managed to download it, but the "update" and the "enable" buttons are not responding.Does this app support specific devices or all devices? because my huawei mate 20 getting error that the exposure notification is not available on this device, and Why it's saying (sorry your phone is inactive to detect Covid-19 cases you may be exposed to).
3. Also, I'd suggest that CITC exempt both apps from data consumption by carriers, so they would still connect without the need for any data subscriptions. This is good but you need to TURN ON ALWAYS your Bluetooth in your phone so it can detect if the person near to you is infected/exposed for COVID19.
4. Please advice. This aap is not working because currently l am with my husband and son, they both are corona positive though my report is negative but atleast it should change my tawakkalna status orange or indicate nearby corona patient, but no indication.
5. If we off the Bluetooth service then it cannot identify the Corona effected person.
6. As long as this app depends on any individual downloading and reporting themselves, it's as useless as it could be.I just received my test result, I am desperately trying to share that I have covid positive but the app keeps failing.
7. Please take into consideration and find a solution to overcome this issue.Unfortunately, it does not work on my cell phone, Xaiomi Pocophone F-1.
8. I work in the epicenter of COVID-managing hospital, among confirmed cases with very close contact, and I didn't have a single notification to date.
9. This app will notify the Corona effected person only if the effected person register this app otherwise this app cannot recognize.
10. However; The current implemantation method is inefficient since it relays only on the person's reporting of his +ve test result.
11. This should have been a better app if it does not require to ON Bluetooth, Location, etc, etc...The idea of the app is good.
