Santander Customer Insights

1. IT DOES NOT SEND NOTIFICATIONS WHEN THE CARD IS USED, ONLY WHEN MONEY IS PAID IN.😒I would give it higher if every bit was in English,but still a lot of the main things are still reading in Spanish, so either have to try and translate them or just don't understand, other than that all is goodOne of the best banking apps I have used.

Its clear, easy, let's you access many different methods of payments and I also feels safe.Sometimes the app is broken and does not let me pay by using my mobile ; and I have to use the card, just like the old times, besides sometimes getting into the app is impossible.There's a bit of confusion on logging in on the front screen not very well thought out.

3. When you select your identification in the first box you then have to click on the text in that box to input the details.. as if you are writing over your ID not underneath in the empty box... Even the helpline couldn't help me with this I found it totally by accident.

4. Then after successful transfer return back to the history of transfers, the items get doubled, or tripled, only app kill and open fixes it...This app has become disgusting.

5. When you are in the list history transfers, select a past transfer, then click on it, do a real transfer.

6. Are you serious? I want to burp from such a user interface.I understood that the app would send notifications before I opened this account.

7. However the same text fields allow text with longer number of characters pasted from somewhere elseI think you have a bug.

8. Transfer's notifications just pops-up sometimes, even the said configuration is enabled.

9. The messages entered in app as comments while transactions - app allow only 3 characters to be keyed in.

10. The "Your expenses" section doesn't work most of the times (the expenses/income) view.

11. A lot of things to improve yet, quite surprise how "poor" this app so far.I have a bug to report.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Santander Issues

1. Fix Santander Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Santander: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Santander App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Santander" » Open Santander » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Santander » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Santander app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Santander servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Santander" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Santander app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Santander might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Santander. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Santander then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Santander not working


2. Fix Santander Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Santander be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Santander not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Santander may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
