ReSound Smart 3D Customer Insights

1. The app needs a little work given I've found: 1) the All-Around and Restaurant icons are switched; and 2) when at the gym and streaming music, there is no way to momentarily switch to All-Around to hearing someone talking to me without having to turn off the music and close the app.Like many others, I am extremely frustrated by the Bluetooth connection issue, and audio cutting off in one ear after about 15 minutes.

2. It's most pronounced if i have to walk away from my phone and the only reliable way to fix it is to restart the phone-not just the app, not even force stopping the app and airplane mode /aids on /off.I've upgraded my hearing aids from the ENZO 3D to the ENZO Q and absolutely love the direct streaming.

3. Also, I wish I could adjust the stock programs without having to create a totally new program.Eh -- works ok, but has two inexcusable and easily-fixed issues: - Every time you launch, it tells you to enable GPS services for the app for the "find my lost hearing aids" functionality.

4. I struggled for an hour to reconnect both hearing aids.Resound works well for hearing aid volume control, switching between programs and notifying my hearing aid specialist of issues.

5. My phone is an Android, so have issues with my hearing aids connecting for phone calls.

6. Happy with most controls, would like fine streaming volume controls to the hearing aids and more equal options across each 'Setting' (All-around, Outdoor, etc).

7. Only way to resolve (at least temporarily) is to restart phone AND hearing aids - doing this multiple times per day currently.

8. I've always loved the flexibility it gives you in tweaking hearing aids to a particular hearing environment.

9. Also, I recently tried disconnecting the hearing aids so I could use a bluetooth speaker.

10. Needless to say it's very annoying.Will drop one or both hearing aids several times per day even though it sometimes shows still connected.

11. They can't expect us to stay on old android versions (and potentially expose ourselves to security vulnerabilities) just because they aren't working diligently enough to fix their connection issues.This app worked fine until I updated to Android 13.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix ReSound Smart 3D Issues

1. Fix ReSound Smart 3D Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart ReSound Smart 3D: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the ReSound Smart 3D App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "ReSound Smart 3D" » Open ReSound Smart 3D » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for ReSound Smart 3D » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear ReSound Smart 3D app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from ReSound Smart 3D servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "ReSound Smart 3D" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check ReSound Smart 3D app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, ReSound Smart 3D might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall ReSound Smart 3D. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall ReSound Smart 3D then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing ReSound Smart 3D not working


2. Fix ReSound Smart 3D Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make ReSound Smart 3D be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to ReSound Smart 3D not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, ReSound Smart 3D may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
