1. The fastest way to look up which foods are High, Low or Medium FODMAP foods. 8x faster than the Monash University app*.
2. The two things that matter most when you are trying to follow a low FODMAP lifestyle.
3. The best way to learn and remember which foods have High, Low or Medium FODMAPs.
4. Using modern space repetition learning games to train your brain is fun and effective.
5. As soon as the app launches you can start typing and see the results as you type (an idiom called incremental searching).
6. The lookup function focuses on just SPEED and ACCURACY.
7. Looking up a food item should not be a pain, it should be FAST and EFFORTLESS.
8. We have found that decreasing effort and friction to lookup foods leads to more lookups per user and greater knowledge and more FODMAP friendly dietary choices. * Our studies have shown that Fast FODMAP Lookup has, on average, an 8 fold reduction in elapsed time to locate a food's overall FODMAP level.
1. It would be worth the download alone for that, but there's also meal prep suggestions, quizzes to help you learn what you can and cannot eat, journalling for your symptoms and meals, and daily affirmations if that's your thing. The reviews mentioning that the app does not allow food pictures/logging to be done after a meal are outdated.
2. Lastly, I wish portion sizes could be added/available somewhere, because sometimes certain portions of generally high/medium fodmap foods are low fodmap in smaller servings. The only app I've used with such a comprehensive list of food and ingredients.
3. All In all so easy to use and so helpful in times of uncertainty. The food lookup is really great because it's quick to navigate and you can easily see what quantity of that particular food is high or low fodmap.
4. If that were corrected it would save a lot of time. Its easy to look up food items in the search bar.
5. I wish the food database was larger, but it seems like most apps share common food data. This app is pretty helpful.
6. It would also be useful to enter the time you consumed food, because it is not always at the time you complete the record.
7. Thought I wouldn't use the food diary option but I love it, it holds me accountable and I can always go back if I end up having an episode to see what it was that caused it.
8. Though it's nice because I can look up (almost) any food any time, lots of food items are still missing.
9. I loved that you can track your meals, and snacks! *Make sure to list the date of your first meal, and each following day since it does not show the date.
10. The most useful part of the app for me is the diary, it makes tracking my symptoms less of a hassle, I would like if I was able to go back and edit entries rather than having to rewrite them if I forget something. The app does exactly what I want it to do.
11. The downside is that I found it hard to input my food into the tracker, but that probably has to do with me being used to using apps like myfitnesspal, etc.
