First Aid Customer Insights

1. Please cancel my purchaseAll in the app is blocked, you need to pay to get most part of the access... I paid the book, I paid the first step Rx... I paid the NBME CSSA... no moreIt's a great app, and a great opportunity to learn and prepare for the best exams, thanks!I can buy whole book in this price ..u should just keep 1/3rd of the price of book which it deserves.. I can get new book at 1400 Rs only ..and next is we have free pdf also..so application is worthless.Not useful for me.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix First Aid Issues

1. Fix First Aid Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart First Aid: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the First Aid App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "First Aid" » Open First Aid for the USMLE Step 1 » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for First Aid » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear First Aid for the USMLE Step 1 app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from First Aid servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "First Aid for the USMLE Step 1" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check First Aid app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, First Aid might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall First Aid. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall First Aid then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing First Aid not working


2. Fix First Aid Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make First Aid be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to First Aid not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, First Aid may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
