1. There should be an option to submit an expense paid outside the account without having to transfer funds in and out.Lively may not have the clout of some other HSA providers, but these folks do a great job making a great option for those looking to get started.

2. This is a regression.This app is terrible if you need to change account settings or want to transfer money to invest in your Charles Schwab you have to login on there website to do so which defeats the whole purpose of the app.

3. The app gives me the exact amount of detail and control I need to manage my account on the go! If you have an HDHP and want to save money for medical purchases, give this a try.App: clean, simple interface.

4. If you have to use the webpage to manage basic account functions then what is the point of downloading the app?Should have a landscape view option.

5. An additional star for that! Let's see how long it takes to get a standard feature (landscape view) added.The app was great until the recent updates which changes the interface for submitting expenses.

6. Sure the option is there and you can adjust the numbers, but you never get the option to submit the changes so you are forced to use the webpage instead.

7. It takes to many clicks to get to basic functions like pulling up pending expenses, submitting contributions, and submitting reimbursements.

8. Notified support about the money transfer problem rather then acknowledging there is a problem I was told I don't have the latest app version which is not the case.

9. I feel like there are only a couple of things that you need the full webpage to do versus the app alone, yet I feel like including those things would create too much clutter.

10. Transactions, contributions, and investment tabs with the process to add funds and then transfer to brokerage could be streamlined.

11. Can't track deductible from provider or cancel transactions in the app like the website can.Overall the app works well.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Lively Benefits Issues

1. Fix Lively Benefits Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Lively Benefits: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Lively Benefits App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Lively Benefits" » Open Lively Benefits » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Lively Benefits » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Lively Benefits app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Lively Benefits servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Lively Benefits" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Lively Benefits app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Lively Benefits might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Lively Benefits. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Lively Benefits then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Lively Benefits not working
