1. Bluetooth low energy, Bluetooth Smart support for Heart Rate , Bike speed and cadence, running speed and cadence, Bike Power (but not 2 pedal BLE meters) and Stryd Running power.
2. Direct upload support for StriveMax, Google Fit, VeloHero, Today's Plan, RunKeeper, TrainingPeaks, Sporttracks. mobi, RUNALYZE. com, Attackpoint, Strava, Trainingstagebuch, Cycling Analytics and RunningAHEAD.
3. Mapping support is either online or offline using MapsForge . map files. You can upload . fit . gpx or . kml route files to follow as you ride.
4. IpBike is an app to turn your Android phone or tablet into a fully functional bike computer ideal for mounting on the bars of your bike.
5. Multi step workouts can be designed with time, distance, heart rate or power based duration.
6. The main riding screens are all fully customisable for colour, size and number of items with all the stats you would expect (over 300 to choose from) plus some less common ones given suitable sensors like.
7. Targets can be power, cadence, heart rate or speed based.
8. IpBike aims to be feature rich - comparing to stand alone bike computes its Garmin 820 class rather than Garmin 200 or 500.
9. If IpBike fails to start up on your device the most common cause is an issue with the Google maps setup.
10. Real time plot available with your critical stats updated as you ride or visible post ride.
11. IpBike uses IpSensorMan to provide access to ANT+, Btle and Bluetooth sensors.
1. Grab an old(ish) phone (update: now using an Pixel 3) a cheap SIM service provider, a weather proof case for bike mounting, this app and you've saved yourself a lot of money.has a couple quirky issues, terrible interface instruction manual so you have to work things out yourself, but I have been using for several years riding 3-4 times a week, and I love it.
2. -How to turn off the voice sounds for auto-pause, start, etc?..Once you get used to ipBike you would never consider paying for a dedicated bike computer! The only advantage there would be a daylight readable LCD screen but you should be looking at the road not a screen! This just needs a finger tap to bring up the screen when you need it.
3. The user interface isn't friendly, and setting up the screen's data fields is very tricky to learn.
4. Only complaint is that it wasn't easy to configure so allow some time and read the help filesThe best bike computer app I've seen.
5. I love it on my indoors trainer, it's the only app where I could input my non-smart trainer power curve so I can view current power in real time without a power meter.
6. Where all my workouts have been saved.Based upon the unpolished appearance of the interface, the somewhat complex startup and miscellaneous usability issues, I initially wasn't sure about this app.
7. Just find a setup that works for you and ignore everything else.Is all right as you get every possible data, but is absolutely not user friendly.
8. -When selecting what a field shows, theres no data category, just one huge list with all possibilities.
9. Power balance and pedal stroke analysis, and other advanced features like HR variability, access to my phone's built in barometer, etc.
10. By the way, you need to download another app for connecting any sensor, which I find it very annoying too.Once you learn how to configure it it's amazing.
11. It not only replaces a bike computer for 8 dollars, it has tremendous customization potential.
