Grid Money Customer Insights

1. They exclude financial institutions that don't run Chexsystems reports [the debit card equivalent of the credit bureaus that shows your banking history], so if you have any outstanding debts to banks you'd need to take care of that first before applying for a new checking account with an approved institution.

2. One thing I would like to see is scheduled bill paying and API integration to major utilities, using the credit account as a buffer when needed.This app sucks! $10 membership fee to even get an advance, then when you PAY for instant advance, they tell you it'll be delivered sometime in the next 5 days.

3. Customer service is a bit lacking and I don't like that you can't update your linked debit card from within the app.DO NOT USE! VERY PREDATORY APP! Where does the trouble begin? They only let you change a debit card when it's convenient for them (if their subscription payment fails) and never again.

4. So bad!!! Now I can't change anything because I have an outstanding advance that I haven't received.Great concept, but before you download, your bank may not be supported.

5. What a scam! You can't cancel the advance once you've submitted it and aren't told there's a problem with doing an instant delivery advance until AFTER you've submitted the advance.

6. Canceled as soon as it was paid in full.Not a horrible way to borrow money when you're in need! I wish my level would grow quicker and I think the app, which is quite bland and sort of an eyesore could use a fair bit of work and maybe a modern touch l but that leaves no impact on the overall quality of this app has to offer.

7. I was approved for an advance right away and was able to transfer to my bank (it takes about 10 hrs to transfer funds to your bank, it's not instant).

8. The subscription cost is offset from the point redemption, so as long as the credit is paid monthly it's a solid service.

9. On top of that, when you ask for an advance, there's no guarantee you'll get it! I'm still waiting for an 80 dollar advance that I haven't seen a penny of, and you better believe they still want me to pay it back! The app crashes and breaks frequently as well.

10. I would definitely recommend!Was great at first! Easy to get $50-$80 then upped me to $100 on their credit line.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Grid Money Issues

1. Fix Grid Money Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Grid Money: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Grid Money App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Grid Money" » Open Grid Money » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Grid Money » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Grid Money app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Grid Money servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Grid Money" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Grid Money app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Grid Money might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Grid Money. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Grid Money then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Grid Money not working


2. Fix Grid Money Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Grid Money be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Grid Money not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Grid Money may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
