1. The Garmin Dive app has everything you need to fuel your passion for diving. • Connect seamlessly with Garmin dive computers (1) such as the Descent MK1. • Track your dives with our best-in-class dive log. • Use the log for the type of diving you do — scuba, freediving, recreational, technical, rebreather and more. • See your dives at a glance in detailed map views. • View gas consumption data (requires a compatible Garmin device). • Search for popular dive locations on the map using the Explore feature. • Attach photos to your dive logs and view them in your news feed. • Log your dive gear and track gear usage details. • Set and receive alerts for gear that is due for maintenance. • Store unlimited dives on Garmin’s secure cloud. • View smart notifications on compatible Garmin devices. • Receive and send SMS text messages, as well as display incoming calls, on compatible Garmin devices. (These features require SMS permission and call log permission, respectively.
2. The Garmin Dive app is the perfect companion for your diving adventures.
1. It would be great to see: - fish identification - equipment used - some dive calculators (weight calc, mod, nitrox, trimix, etc.) - registering dive buddies, dive masters, dive centers, dive locations once only and then the ability to select them from the list - a data base with the dive locations - a dive planner - Sac, Rmv details - option to print dive-log pages - option to back-up data in the cloud - alarms during the dive Etc.Best dive computer ever, and dive application is brilliantI am absolutely furious about this! On a dive boat right now, and was showing someone looking for a computer the Garmin ecosystem, which I've loved.
2. 2 topics, first you should make the app to work in an offline mode (I see no reason to need Internet just to download the dives), second (nice to have) to automatically take the dive site from the map when it recognised.
3. A separate app was completely unnecessary from a UX point of view...I'm a dive professional who has recommended the descent to hundreds of students based partly on the excellent Connect app.
4. Please put dive info back in the connect app... it worked fine and there are features that no longer function.
5. It picks one and I can't move my pictures into that folder.Cannot import or export dives either to / from app This feature needs to be added Why does it not link into Garmin Connect? Baffling design decision.
6. Logs are less intuitive to read, harder to access, and the app crashes most of the time when trying to go into dive details.
7. This really shouldn't be difficult, and it sucks on both this app and the garmin dive web app.
8. This is a huge downgrade from the old dive menus on Connect.
9. Buy a Teric.Overall great with the exception of adding photos to my dive.
10. I used to send links for dive profiles to students which in the new app is impossible.
11. Easy to set and use both on land and during a dive.
