Garmin Add-on Customer Insights

1. No change. It feels so unpolished, like a beta version even though it was released in 2017! My watch used up 30% battery compared to 10% without it, which is at least bad! My Android Wear watch was using much less battery! And the worst is that the data is all wrong! There is a recurring pattern of no sleep data (red) and in-between light sleep; for sure not valid data.

2. I'm currently using a Venu Sq with SW version 3.7. I have "data recording" on the watch set to "every second" instead of "smart" and I have Pulse Ox turned on full-time (all of which is supposed to be harder on battery life).

3. There was also two settings I found from the GitHub about turning off the back light when an activity was happening that I've disabled as well as trying to turn on tracking from the phone and not the watch.Takes a lot of time for the app on the watch to connect to this one, but ultimately it works every time.

4. Sometimes it records full HR, HRV and SpO2 during the entire sleep, sometimes it records the first half or less and then stops recording data from the watch.

5. Not very happy with the battery use on the watch, thought - today it ate 45% (few days worth of normal use!) - and shows only HR, totally missing out SpO2 it supposedly measured as well.

6. Even so, my experience after a few days is that I lose 11-14% battery during an overnight sleep tracking of 7-8 hours.

7. 1, this app turned on auto gesture back light so they need to make that stop; 2, the app auto starts at the time I selected for my typical bedtime - I'd prefer to manually start Sleep app.

8. Most days I need to delete the recorded sleep and put in the actual sleep period recorded from my watch.

9. I am going from 7 days of battery to almost dead on 7 hours without having sp02 enabled the rest of the settings left at default.

10. That's fine by me and I don't have any problems with functionality. The app provides inconsistent data sync during sleep tracking.

11. And I may not want data but to properly record start of sleep and wake up at end, so total hours.
