CANINE Customer Insights

1. Edit: my friends iphone has no issue with connecting and setting up, so it's a non-apple issue.While I thought it was going to be a good idea, the app will rarely connect with the collar.

2. it would be good to be able to have a schedule on the app for times of day, that is user settable by day and time, that allows for a time when the device is set to correct/not correct the dog and even the ability to auto adjust settings/ intensity depending on schedule.

3. Update: After re reading the help instructions online I finally stumbled upon clear direction on how to pair the collar and it finally works.

4. I am forced to return the collar since I am not able to sync the data.Can never get the collar to pair.

5. Unusable app, making the collar essentially useless.How the hell do you get the collar to sync to the app? Says to hold button until it turns blue.

6. without schedule this effects how I can utilise collar, I have to take collar on and off or be constantly adjusting settings.This app doesn't work.

7. Every other time when I want to access my dog's data, the activity feed will never refresh, meaning I cannot find out his barking habits or what has been corrected.

8. I wish the instructions that came with the collar were more clear on how to pair it to the app.

9. I purchased a Barklimiter 2 and after the initial setup the app simply stops communicating with the collar.

10. If I flick between smart mode and the other modes, and then change on/off, it will sometimes transfer to the device.

11. I also bought a hardware remote that I can't even pair without the app working! I'm at a total loss with this thing.Why are there not 0 stars option? Using a Barklimiter 2.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix CANINE Issues

1. Fix CANINE Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart CANINE: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the CANINE App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "CANINE" » Open CANINE » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for CANINE » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear CANINE app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from CANINE servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "CANINE" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check CANINE app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, CANINE might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall CANINE. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall CANINE then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing CANINE not working


2. Fix CANINE Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make CANINE be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to CANINE not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, CANINE may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
