Value Diary Customer Insights

1. I really like this app, I don't like the new WW plan so having this available for the points plus is great! The only thing I don't like about the update is that the main page is taken up by premium features that I don't want.I just redownloaded this and paid the $4.99. Its useless as the online database and scanner bring up no results matter what I search.

2. They want you to pay monthly in order to be able to do basic things like transfer your data when moving to a new phone.* The points plus system has consistently helped me lose weight over the years when the newer Weight Watchers programs have not worked for me so I'm glad this app has preserved it.

3. When I clicked the link, the response was "invalid." When I informed support they stated "Who sent you an invalid link?" Well it was labeled as Fenlander Support...how would I know who sent it! It deteriorated to the point that the database I had painstakingly built up over several years was entirely lost.

4. It used to be a great app! *Edit: if the support team would quit trying to be smart asses in responding to negative reviews it may have less issues.

5. In the meantime, when researching the issue, I found that I had paid twice in a 4 month period for the same Premium subscription but was never notified of the double payment.

6. A lot of UK barcodes aren't being recognised by the scanner, so I'm having to input them in manually, which to me, isn't what I want from an app I'm paying £5 a month for.

7. I contacted Support after malware took over my phone and I lost all my data.

8. I purchased the annual subscription and it is significantly cheaper than any other weight loss program.

9. If you want a free app you're not going to get much but i paid 20 bucks for an entire year which is so inexpensive for all you get.For $3, this app is wonderful! It is simple to use and is intuitive.

10. It does not let me record exercise to earn back or bank points, as that seems to only be available in the subscription, so that is why only 4 stars.I used to really like this app.

11. :)It's ok, but dont bother with subscription if in UK I've had the free version for some time now, and a lot of the time it said I needed to upgrade to search for certain foods.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Value Diary Issues

1. Fix Value Diary Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Value Diary: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Value Diary App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Value Diary" » Open Value Diary - Diet Watchers » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Value Diary » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Value Diary - Diet Watchers app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Value Diary servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Value Diary - Diet Watchers" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Value Diary app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Value Diary might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Value Diary. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Value Diary then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Value Diary not working


2. Fix Value Diary Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Value Diary be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Value Diary not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Value Diary may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
