Cerebral Customer Insights

1. This makes the app nearly unusable when typing messages to your provider.While i like the service and people on my care team, the app itself needs some help.

2. Some of the settings get erased: -forgets your login settings (have to enter repeatedly or have to regularly setup alternate login options over and over) -doesnt always update when you have an unread message.The providers are good.

3. I have tried this app for around a year and have been paying for several months without any sort of contact or follow ups.Providers are good, and it's easy to meet a psychiatrist or therapist.

4. It constantly freezes and it becomes very challenging to send messages and for someone coming in with their own set of issues, this is not ideal when trying to reach your prescriber and/or counselor.

5. I have been trying to cancel and not only have they taken the "cancel" option off both the website and app, but when you try to call, there is no help.

6. I've had wonderful experience with customer service, my care team, and any changes in medications, etc.

7. I've been lucky enough to keep my same therapist, but I've had about 5 different team leads play hot potato with my account.

8. I can't schedule appointments or contact my care team from the app and am forced to use the website.

9. Also, I don't know why, but when on a video call, earbuds and my car's app won't play the audio.I absolutely love my care team.

10. The service is great, but the app is soooooooo slow and unresponsive when typing.

11. I came here to see if I needed to update my app when I saw other reviews from the last few months describing the same issue.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Cerebral Issues

1. Fix Cerebral Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Cerebral: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Cerebral App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Cerebral" » Open Cerebral - Mental Health » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Cerebral » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Cerebral - Mental Health app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Cerebral servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Cerebral - Mental Health" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Cerebral app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Cerebral might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Cerebral. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Cerebral then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Cerebral not working


2. Fix Cerebral Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Cerebral be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Cerebral not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Cerebral may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.

  • Well, I’ve been trying to reach my care coordinators since Wednesday so they may reach out to my provider. My prescription is due, and now I’m about to go into the weekend without medication which is a huge health risk!
    This is absurd and they just charged me on the 25th (yesterday) and I’m asking what the hell I was charged for since they are not providing the service, ANY SERVICE at all!
