1. Wifi signal in this device is not it! Should have gone with a regular Google or other brand of thermostat.I would say that bosch bbc 100 thermostat I am using is worse for wifi and connecting to phone app.

2. The thermostat is great, but the app can be frustrating to use at times.Update: Was able to get the app working again by going into the phone's settings, stopping the app, clearing all its data, uninstalling it, and then doing a fresh install.

It took me several tries and I had to go into settings and delete the "data" and "cache" for the app a few times but eventually it worked by using #1 and #2 from above, #3 was optional.Smart home connection joke... unfortunately this app can hardly stay connected, let alone even CONNECT to Google home smart home.

4. In addition, I brought the router to within a foot of the thermostat for testing and still it could not connect.Terrible. This app can turn the thermostats on and off and appear to communicate successfully.

5. However after a while it eventually connects, so its not the wifi settings that cause this.. The factory claims it's the wifi signal but we don't have a problem connecting to 8 other smart devices.

6. Cost 2 stars that every time in it starts it warns me about detecting settings on my phone as privacy risks and prompts me to change those, which are definitely not turned on but the app incorrectly detects.

7. The workaround I have is to cancel from the thermostat or go into my schedules and select my current one in order to override the hold.

8. I continue to get messages saying "no response from the device." MY WiFi is working correctly on all my other devices.

9. I'm giving up on the thermostat & app.I have an issue where whenever I set a hold on the app, it will not allow me to press the X button to cancel the hold.

1. Fix Bosch Connected Control Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:

1. Restart Bosch Connected Control: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
2. Update the Bosch Connected Control App. Here is how:
   1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Bosch Connected Control" » Open Bosch Connected Control » click "Update".
   2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Bosch Connected Control » click "UPDATE".
3. Clear Bosch Connected Control app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Bosch Connected Control servers.
   1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Bosch Connected Control" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
4. Check Bosch Connected Control app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Bosch Connected Control might not work.
5. Uninstall and reinstall Bosch Connected Control. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Bosch Connected Control then reinstall.
6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Bosch Connected Control not working

2. Fix Bosch Connected Control Server issues & Internet Connection

1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Bosch Connected Control be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Bosch Connected Control not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Bosch Connected Control may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
