HomeHabit Customer Insights

1. HomeHabit does everything I could do with NetIO but made it extremely easy to set-up and it local to my network instead of a cloud (I only use a cloud when I have no other solution).Awesome App with great functionality, but pricing is on the high end.

2. There is space for improvements: at device reboot it never shows the dashboard, only cogwheel for setting is present (though nothing in the menu is working), and I have to force restart the app in order to see any anthing.

3. UPDATE: for a quick response which to me means that you care, you get another star...Can' connect with TP services.. shows error, that's why I refuse the subscription... other services works puss/minuss OK.

4. Thank you for all your hard work!Love all the features and UI... especially how I can make a button to call http requests goes great with esp8266 and esp32 projects.

5. I have a feature request for the developer, could you add a screen off/on time to the stay awake feature, so it could turn off/on the screen at certain times of the day? There is no need for the screen to be on at bedtime, so having it turn off would be very useful.

6. Wery easy to use HomeHabit!You can only connect 1 product to the app, before you'll have to pay to use the PREMIUM features... It's so lousy a concept, and I really hope, the premium version is worth it, 'cuz I would never!! And the UI was hard to figure out and navigate.

7. If you turn on a light, the light turns on, but the state of the widget goes back to off after 5 seconds so what you see in the dashboard is not a reflection of the reality.

8. For me oficcial HA ap is too slow, and always shows unwanted dashboard first...I'm using it as the home app of a Huawei tablet and it is working fine.

9. I wanted a simple panel to run on an old android tablet to control Home Assistant for my thermostat and switching on/off lights etc.

10. Apart from that, app is great and I think it is one of the best way to manage your home automation, and it looks the fancier I've seen so far.absolutely great peace of home automation dashboard.

11. I was using NetIO controller app for several years because I didn't like any of the other smarthome apps even though it was very difficult to set-up.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix HomeHabit Issues

1. Fix HomeHabit Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:

  1. Restart HomeHabit: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the HomeHabit App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "HomeHabit" » Open HomeHabit - Smart Home Panel » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for HomeHabit » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear HomeHabit - Smart Home Panel app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from HomeHabit servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "HomeHabit - Smart Home Panel" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check HomeHabit app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, HomeHabit might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall HomeHabit. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall HomeHabit then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing HomeHabit not working

2. Fix HomeHabit Server issues & Internet Connection

  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make HomeHabit be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to HomeHabit not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, HomeHabit may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
