What users are saying

1. They are only 8 options in the "add device" menu and no where to select the "traditional remote (IR)" option even though my phone does have IR capabilities.

2. (Also please note that this wasn't a problem before certain updates)This is the only usable remote app I've found that doesn't subject you to random pop-up adds when the app isn't even open (in fact - it doesn't seem to use them at all).

3. I still don't care to share my location with a remote control app though, ads still work without itIt seems like the update has really messed up the functionality of this app.

4. Peel remote uses large traditional toggle buttons thst use your whole screen.

5. I think it would be better user experience for cases like mine to still show the IR option and then inform the user if the phone doesn't support it.

6. But now there doesn't seem to be the option to manually add a "dumb" IR device (i.e. an hdmi switcher or speaker box) that it used to have.

7. that's unnecessary information for a remote control app and annoying that it keeps asking.

8. Not worth.great remote control app, originally, it changed recently to full home smart app which is great.

9. It does not, unlike another user claimed, support my Xbox.

10. To reach all the options for my tv i have to scroll through 6 different remote pages.

11. this is interesting because it sees the TV on the network but it doesn't seem to be able to connectThis is not the same app it was months ago.

  2. Update the SURE App. Here is how:

    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for SURE » click "UPDATE".

    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "SURE - Smart Home and TV Unive" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check SURE app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, SURE might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall SURE. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall SURE then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing SURE not working

2. Fix SURE Server issues & Internet Connection

  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make SURE be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to SURE not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, SURE may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
