Smart Transfer Customer Insights

1. I HIGHLY recommend!Worked far under my expectations.. not only did this app make you watch a 30 sec ad for each category you want to transfer (contacts, photos, apps, etc.), but as far as the apps go it provides a screen showing each of your apps, which you have to click on EACH ONE and it'll take you to play store where you have to download individually.

2. If you select NO, it will completely STOP the transfer & you have to start over!) In the past, I have tried so many other apps that never transferred all of my data, if any.

3. One downside is that you will see a short ad after each category is transferred so if you switch apps to surf while your wait, the transfer disconnects, so you just have to let it run and do something else.

4. It also doesn't move over texts.Thank you! I was beginning to think there wasn't an app that would transfer my information FROM a Samsung phone TO an android... this one did! I didn't have a lot but it did transfer and for someone not high tech it was fairly simple.

5. Shouldve tested it with a few tracks first!Worked great! For whatever reason my Pixel 7 didn't move all my photos & song files from my old Pixel 4.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Smart Transfer Issues

1. Fix Smart Transfer Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Smart Transfer: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Smart Transfer App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Smart Transfer" » Open Smart Transfer: File Sharing » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Smart Transfer » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Smart Transfer: File Sharing app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Smart Transfer servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Smart Transfer: File Sharing" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Smart Transfer app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Smart Transfer might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Smart Transfer. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Smart Transfer then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Smart Transfer not working


2. Fix Smart Transfer Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Smart Transfer be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Smart Transfer not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Smart Transfer may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
