1. It's a good app, more like an essential one, but the trams and trains always change routes and there is always something wrong resulting in me either getting late or not getting there at all.Confusing for tourists with tourist tickets that are restricted to lines operated by certain companies.

2. I ended up with a multi-stop connection where the bus driver refused my ticket and I had to travel back to take a different connection.This app is showing that metro is scheduled, and then there is a tiny hidden warning that it's cancelled.

3. AGAIN, I came to the metro station based on schedule in this app, and the next metro in 25 (!) min.Excellent app I have used it on our visit to Amsterdam and was excellent.

4. Are you kidding, can't you just remove that metro from the schedule? So unthoughtful.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix GVB Issues

1. Fix GVB Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart GVB: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the GVB App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "GVB" » Open GVB - travel information » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for GVB » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear GVB - travel information app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from GVB servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "GVB - travel information" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check GVB app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, GVB might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall GVB. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall GVB then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing GVB not working


2. Fix GVB Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make GVB be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to GVB not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, GVB may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
