1. Is it possible to have the ability to add a road to our map once we travel it?Really enjoy this app, and the Northisland version, Any chance you could add a zoom for the big scale? Trying to zoom at one scale and it jumps down a scale, then the writing I was zooming to see got smaller haha! Would be good to maybe have a button to push and that will change scales, or something along those lines Otherwise! Wicked app, keep up the good stuff CheersSuper handy app I have been using this instead of a GPS for hunting.
2. Seems very accurate I find the DOC hunting block boundrys very useful particularly in the molesworth and Stewart island where the blocks are small and difficult to identify.
3. This makes it difficult to switch apps if your phone doesn't have physical buttons.Very handy to use when out in the back blocks or your local forestry block.
4. To aid planning.Travelling around New Zealand and completing a couple of great walks, including on Stewart Island, this app was invaluable and saved buying numerous paper maps.
5. It shows you hunting and fishing spots and allows you to add many different types of markers on the map which is good for setting possum traps or where you have seen animal sign.
6. If you have the spare space on your phone then this is nicer to use than apps that allow you to manage offline downloads of maps manually.
7. No need to buy a hand-held gps if you have this app.Compared to OsmAnd very basic but cheaper and if you only want a basic topographic map app (limited to the South Island) that allows for gpx/kml tracking then this app is more than adequate as it is also easy to use.
8. These topo maps are standard & haven't been updated for years to add in or remove roads that no longer exist.
9. Offline capability makes it a real handy tool when hunting in those dead zones ( no cell reception) .
10. The maps seem old and outdated, multiple huts that are shown have since been removed.
11. Have been using it for the last 3 years never let me down.Best app o have downloaded, perfect for when out hunting or tramping.
