1. Went to Fiji recently & there were really no good maps to download or purchase & the OSM beta map helped fill in the details! I do wish you had the option with any given track to pick any map associated with the layer AND containing the track's location and then be taken straight to the track on the chosen map.

2. Without any changes to my Pixel 3 memory management or maps database, the version of Avenza now works with reasonable performance.I've had this app for 2 years and I've only just now discovered it's true power, and I haven't even seen its final form yet.

From downloading maps to making your own maps, two expanding on existing maps and exporting them, to adding layers to maps and exporting the layers to other maps, to navigating and tracking in so much more, this is the best app if you are an outdoors person.I've been using this app for several years, and I continue to be more impressed by it.

4. I always have to display tracks by noting track title, looking at what maps are tied to the layer, then going to the map.You will never be lost again! I use this app on my backwoods adventures on horseback.

5. It gives you the ability to not only track yourself it allows you to draw maps giving you the miles and the time it took for the treck and you can share your maps with your freinds.

I highly recommend Avenza to any one who loves taking life by the horns!Latest version (4.2) fixed previous versions which were unusable, perhaps due to my (unusually?) large configuration, on my Google Pixel 3, which has 44 GBs of maps/layers.. Previous version always crashed immediately upon start-up.

7. TLDR this app does what Google Maps don't.This is a great mapping program! I really like the OSM beta map.

8. It's not pretty or intuitive to use, but once you install it and download the maps for where you are going, it doesn't matter when you lose data to your phone.

10. I mostly use geopdf maps I generate on CalTopo.We use this app to navigate while ATVing in the Black hills.

1. Fix Avenza Maps Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:

1. Restart Avenza Maps: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
2. Update the Avenza Maps App. Here is how:
   1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Avenza Maps" » Open Avenza Maps: Offline Mapping » click "Update".
   2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Avenza Maps » click "UPDATE".
3. Clear Avenza Maps: Offline Mapping app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Avenza Maps servers.
   1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Avenza Maps: Offline Mapping" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
4. Check Avenza Maps app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Avenza Maps might not work.
5. Uninstall and reinstall Avenza Maps. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Avenza Maps then reinstall.
6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Avenza Maps not working

2. Fix Avenza Maps Server issues & Internet Connection

1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Avenza Maps be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Avenza Maps not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Avenza Maps may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
