1. So I'd suggest you look at your route and use different layers too -- e.g., if you want to get an aerial view instead of just a topo view.works great, has some unexpected useful features that are not necissary but nice to have.
2. To the developer : well done.I used the free version for several months but just bought the pro version a few days ago for a trip with hiking away from cell reception.
3. Changing between different styles of maps (layers) makes it a great tool to figure out where to get through.
4. I'd like to be able to store my cached maps in a folder hierarchy like waypoints.
5. It's so useful to be able to toggle between satellite images and topo maps.
6. However, if you're out of cell service you have to have looked at your route before and have the corresponding map saved in the cache memory of your phone.
7. I'd also like a mode where I could show a map and see all the cached maps for that area. This is the only maps I can find of Northern Manitoba.
8. Been using it for years to follow boating tracks on lakes, pin fishing spots, rocks to avoid, etc.
9. Unfortunately, depending on the level of zoom, some of the maps are 15+ years old, which is not the app's fault.Actually quite good.
10. Good functionality, good array of map layers, x-y tracking seems quite accurate, altitude gain and loss calc seems less so but this is not a crucial flaw.
11. I plotted a route using a different app that I find is better for plotting routes.
