Digital Private Vault Customer Insights

1. First when you move files into the secure folder it leaves them on the phone without deleting as it says its doing, also you can't export them out again, so if you first add them they are gone forever.Its a pretty good app to protect to things you value, few little tweaks and this app could be beyond expectations.

2. Worst experience I ever had.I can no longer export photos from the vault to my gallery, so all my photos and videos are trapped with no way to retrieve them.

3. After some days this app not allowed to export photos from vault to gallery.

4. I would suggest an option to be able to move in folder material around and for the pictures an easier side swipe optionWorst app ever seen.

5. For some reason the app no longer had permissions to storage on the device, which prevents it from exporting... even though the app says it successfully exported.

6. But I transferred a video over and it deleted it from my phone, but broke the file in the secure folder.

7. Recentyly having issyes with exporting content back to the gallery.

8. I can't recover the file anywhere and I've tried data recovery tools, backups, you name it--nothing works.

9. Also would have liked to choose a picture for every folder which is NOT the last one you imported.

10. I get the message that the picture has been exported but nothing shows in the gallery.

11. All are gone.For those that are having issues with exporting from the app, I was having the same problem and came up with a solution.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Digital Private Vault Issues

1. Fix Digital Private Vault Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Digital Private Vault: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Digital Private Vault App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Digital Private Vault" » Open Digital Private Vault » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Digital Private Vault » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Digital Private Vault app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Digital Private Vault servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Digital Private Vault" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Digital Private Vault app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Digital Private Vault might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Digital Private Vault. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Digital Private Vault then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Digital Private Vault not working


2. Fix Digital Private Vault Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Digital Private Vault be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Digital Private Vault not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Digital Private Vault may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
