1. If I could zero rate this app, I would.This app is annoying, it keeps bugging and just freezes in "Sage" and doesnt open 😒The app worked only one occasion and it is still stuck on the SAGE logo landing page.

2. Exit the app, open the app, stuck....... It used to work seamlessly on a previous version, was able to quickly apply for leave.I've installed and uninstalled the app on numerous occasions, but it's no use it doesn't work.

3. When I close the app and open it a second time, it just stage on the black start screen with the sage logo.

4. I have cleared my data and I'm still getting the same problemYou can't add a note for sick leave as it simply does not appear, that was the first try.

5. It keeps on delinking and then you need to start from scratch by scanning the QR code from your workplace system.

6. Be as wonderful and efficient and convenient as you have claimedThe app only works after the initial registration, after you close the app and re-enter, it's stuck on the logo.

7. Environment has not changed other than applying mandatory SAGE server updates for tax, etc.

8. If I have to go in anyway to apply for leave as the app keeps on delinking, I can not see why this app is useful.This app used to be great at it's job.

9. It keeps on delinking itself, when you open it, after a few seconds it automatically closes itself.

10. Attempted to access the access using Wi-Fi and mobile data.

11. It only works when I register my device on the website the first time.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Sage Self Service Issues

1. Fix Sage Self Service Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Sage Self Service: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Sage Self Service App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Sage Self Service" » Open Sage Self Service » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Sage Self Service » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Sage Self Service app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Sage Self Service servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Sage Self Service" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Sage Self Service app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Sage Self Service might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Sage Self Service. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Sage Self Service then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Sage Self Service not working

  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Sage Self Service be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Sage Self Service not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Sage Self Service may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
