Now perhaps I'm missing something, but there appears to be no way to display the amount remaining before the spend limit you've set is reached, or conversely, as on the desktop site shows, $total.spent/$spendlim3 cardit.set per (month, year, whole card).I've been using Privacy for a little over a year now and it's quickly become the most helpful and indispensable financial tool of all that I use.

2. This app has come in handy when I just wanted to do a free trial of something but I have to give credit card details and they make it very difficult to figure out how to cancel, so I just set a $1 spending limit so they can't charge me.

3. prevents charges from free trials ending, or recurring subscriptions from changing their price, protects your real credit card info, and best of all, it doesnt cost you anything.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Privacy.com Issues

1. Fix Privacy.com Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Privacy.com: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Privacy.com App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Privacy.com" » Open Privacy.com » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Privacy.com » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Privacy.com app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Privacy.com servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Privacy.com" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Privacy.com app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Privacy.com might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Privacy.com. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Privacy.com then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Privacy.com not working


2. Fix Privacy.com Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Privacy.com be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Privacy.com not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Privacy.com may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.

  • I signed up for and used Privacy.com for several months a while back. I don't remember when I stopped using the service(s) of Privacy.com, but I remember getting tired of the number of clicks/steps it took to make things work. Also, the transactions that would import into my budget tracker from my bank only showed privacy.com, which became a hassle when balancing things.
    Anyway, I want to give Privacy.com another try. My old login information no longer works; so I created a new account with the same Email address as before. To connect bank accounts to fund cards made on Privacy.com, I need to provide my contact details, which were mostly the same as before, and I'm getting an error indicating that my phone number is associated with a different account, which I assume is the account I once had that I can't log into.
    Is there a way to merge the old & new accounts into 1 functional account? Or can one of these accounts be permanently deleted so the other can work? If none of this is possible, then please permanently delete any & all accounts associated with my Email (dbmorris85@redacted) & phone number (352-449-8200), & I'll consider starting completely over.
    I appreciate any assistance I can get toward resolving this.
