PointClickCare Companion Customer Insights

1. Why did ya'll have to make it harder?Terrible app on the android .. I can log in using my phones internet browser but once I do the same thing on the app itself it tells me my company doesn't use PCC which is false .. super frustrating.. the developer needs to do better making this app functional.. if I could give zero stars I wouldGood companion app to it's web based app.

2. Used to work fine on Android and then they changed something and didn't do proper integration testing.

3. It's an urgent issue that has been open for over two weeks and there has been no updates or an ETA on a fix except that it's "with their Product Team for review".

4. Basically, they no longer offer any support for Android.This is actually a downgrade and a more complicated form of the previous version.

5. Unfortunately I haven't been able to do what it's designed for.I use the P.C.C. at work.

6. You realize that most of those who use this app are used to the old one, where the color scheme and tabs are what makes it easier and user friendly.

7. Why did you have to divide it into overdue, to do later, etc? Just the yellow, red, and green was fine.

10. When users log in they see no tasks and no residents.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix PointClickCare Companion Issues

1. Fix PointClickCare Companion Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart PointClickCare Companion: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the PointClickCare Companion App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "PointClickCare Companion" » Open PointClickCare Companion » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for PointClickCare Companion » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear PointClickCare Companion app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from PointClickCare Companion servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "PointClickCare Companion" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check PointClickCare Companion app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, PointClickCare Companion might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall PointClickCare Companion. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall PointClickCare Companion then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing PointClickCare Companion not working


2. Fix PointClickCare Companion Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make PointClickCare Companion be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to PointClickCare Companion not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, PointClickCare Companion may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
