1. I would recommend other options to this.Connection issues all the time! Haven't been able to connect for almost 3 months now and I sent multiple emails for help with absolutely no response from them!! I dont understand why they haven't updated this software! Definitely don't recommend and we will be switching to something that actually works properly.For your information there web servers for this app it was taking out of service going on two years now that's why you can conect any more, they sell there equipment and you can use the software that they allow there dvrs to conect you can't use or cross to a different app what you need to check carefully before you purchase one of this units,my own experience and best is nigh owl conect I'm happy with that fast you can scroll from camer to camera by just taping on the camera or swiping sideDoesn't work.

I was thinking maybe the equipment is to old and buy a newer one from them, well no it hasn't been maybe 4-5 years and it works good at the house, with comcast cable wifi modem.. besides that who wants to deal with this kinda service.... All port forwards done and dvr online and identifies as having a connection the the internet.

Customer support that blames everyone else about why the app isn't working, or the numerous trouble confirmation emails after a hour or 2 on the phone explaining they were working fine up until beginning of december, now only local wifi works.

4. I know the numbers so is there a way I can manually input the numbers? I tried rescanning the QR code to reset the numbers and that didn't work neither.Can't connect to my cameras again, app works once in a while but mostly not in the 5 or so years I have had it.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Night Owl Pro Issues

1. Fix Night Owl Pro Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Night Owl Pro: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Night Owl Pro App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Night Owl Pro" » Open Night Owl Pro » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Night Owl Pro » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Night Owl Pro app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Night Owl Pro servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Night Owl Pro" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Night Owl Pro app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Night Owl Pro might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Night Owl Pro. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Night Owl Pro then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Night Owl Pro not working

  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Night Owl Pro be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Night Owl Pro not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Night Owl Pro may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
