1. Frequently fails to upload pictures into albums, forcing multiple attempts and sometimes duplicate uploads.Since the last update (not today's which also didn't fix it) the split screen on phone calls and maps makes me have to re-log into dash on the app after shutting down the app.

2. Just to find out all my photos from previous day and with multiple jobs did not upload and sync up.Rough.. I have to deal with this app for ~45 people in our company and this last couple of days has been about it for me.

3. Fingers crossed that the second attempt to fix the latest update goes smoother.If using the photo management and upload feature there are consistent problems.

4. I loath your customer service rarely do I get issues resolved the only thing I get accomplished is frustration level goes up and productivity goes down and the CS says "sorry we were unable to resolve your issue I can have a more experienced team member get touch with you when it's convenient for them"Map feature is gone.

5. Why does it only sync up 20 photos at a time?! I have to stay on that photo folder,wait for 20 photos to sync up and click again to upload the remaining photos.

6. QUIT FOCUSING ON THE THINGS THAT DON'T MATTERSince this last update, I have had several issues uploading photos.

7. Our company has been using DASH for sometime now and this has been a constant problem that never gets addressed.

8. It shouldn't be that hard to have photos upload in order without constant errors.

9. Not sure if it's an Apple/Android thing but please get these bugs fixed!This app does contain several useful and time saving features.

10. Now the new version to fix the old issues is having trouble finding the logins and no one can log in, and only some have the update.

11. Photo upload and pdf creation have never 100% worked correctly.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Next Gear Issues

1. Fix Next Gear Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Next Gear: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Next Gear App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Next Gear" » Open Next Gear » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Next Gear » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Next Gear app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Next Gear servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Next Gear" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Next Gear app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Next Gear might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Next Gear. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Next Gear then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Next Gear not working


2. Fix Next Gear Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Next Gear be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Next Gear not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Next Gear may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
