1. But since I got Lollipop on Note4, this app randomly hangs up on a photo and keeps trying but never uploads it, drains battery fast for nothing! Using Google Photos now.Its pretty decent and I purchased it to mainly sync my photos well but it is not completely working as per the options given in your app.

2. I am forced to search for an alternative while this gets fixed.Used to work perfectly to upload my camera photos to Box as I took them and did everything I needed.

3. ImproveGreat that you can set to upload only on WiFi and only while charging but the app keeps logging me out, so if I want my smartphone photos to upload, I have to keep logging in.

4. However photos uploaded tend to get duplicated and so I have to manually go and delete the duplicates.Update 24/11/14: Developer has updated the software to resolve the logging out issue.

5. As such, the app is in a perpetual state of trying to upload my photos, but none of them ever actually do it, rendering the app essentially worthless.

6. Consequently I haven't been able to upload any photos successfully since October.

7. Every time a photo tries to upload it doesn't seem to ever fully make it, so the upload starts over.

8. Lacking the option to only upload from now on not every photo prior to instalation.

9. The signing out issue seems to have been resolved, but for the past few weeks the sync does not work at all.

10. It's stuck attempting to upload the same photo over and over again.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Photo Sync Issues

1. Fix Photo Sync Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Photo Sync: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Photo Sync App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Photo Sync" » Open Photo Sync for Box (Uploader) » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Photo Sync » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Photo Sync for Box (Uploader) app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Photo Sync servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Photo Sync for Box (Uploader)" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Photo Sync app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Photo Sync might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Photo Sync. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Photo Sync then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Photo Sync not working


2. Fix Photo Sync Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Photo Sync be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Photo Sync not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Photo Sync may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
