Motorola Gallery Customer Insights

1. There is no"settings" area or feedback area... I love the camera but all of a sudden the gallery doesn't show pictures at all! And I notice there's no replies under all these other comments... why?The Gallery and Photo Editor that came with it was a 5 star default app when I got the phone.

2. Thanks!Motorola Gallery is much better on this phone than on my newer phone (which is also a Motorola!) The newer phone doesn't have the ability to easily move pictures from one folder to another.

4. I feel the updates in the play store often mess up the default apps!gallery is the only app (pre-installed) on moto turbo 2 that hangs the phone.

5. I think with all new updates of Google Photos and so forth, the photo programs don't sync, and now when I open the default Gallery, some folders only have a blank screen on a lot of folders when I open some folders.

8. what the hell happened? no thumbnail on album cover and no pictures show inside the album.. only time i see the picture is of i click on the edit button.

9. if gallery is open & active when the screen blanks, when next try to use the phone: hangs for 30 to 60 seconds.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Motorola Gallery Issues

1. Fix Motorola Gallery Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Motorola Gallery: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Motorola Gallery App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Motorola Gallery" » Open Motorola Gallery » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Motorola Gallery » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Motorola Gallery app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Motorola Gallery servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Motorola Gallery" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Motorola Gallery app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Motorola Gallery might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Motorola Gallery. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Motorola Gallery then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Motorola Gallery not working


2. Fix Motorola Gallery Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Motorola Gallery be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
