1. Please fix this google!!!New Update 23/07/2020 Videos and photos do show up nicely in this app but the videos do not play, I think it's a bit pointless to have Wear Photos and a Separate Wear videos app (which doesn't work at the moment, crashes and fails to play videos on Fossil Gen 4 explorist watch and HTC M9) as for this photos app it does display photos but no video.

2. I have the paid version and still am unable to view my photos in the app on the watch only the video thumbnails which yhe videos themselves won't even play.

3. Most of the apps work alright but the photos app doesn't seem to load my photos.

4. Wouldn't mind joining beta and providing feedback but the beta program is full.The connection to Google Photos is not currently working so you can't use standalone.

5. Shows your most recent photos from your camera and whatsapp which is nice because the whatsapp notifications on the watch don't include the photos.

6. On the photos section, it doesn't load photos, just showing gray squares like they exist but can't be loaded.

7. The same on videos: it shows the video preview unlike photos, but says "this video cannot be played" on literally wach video.

8. Combine both wear photos and video into one and call it Gallery.

9. $3.67 to access all photos rather than the latest 6, and almost $20 for full version.

10. The previews show for videos but not photos and can't open any photos.

11. and the video app that comes with it won't play videos eitherWorked fine with the free version.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Photo Gallery Issues

1. Fix Photo Gallery Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Photo Gallery: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Photo Gallery App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Photo Gallery" » Open Photo Gallery for Wear OS (And » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Photo Gallery » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Photo Gallery for Wear OS (And app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Photo Gallery servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Photo Gallery for Wear OS (And" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Photo Gallery app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Photo Gallery might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Photo Gallery. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Photo Gallery then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Photo Gallery not working

  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Photo Gallery be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Photo Gallery not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Photo Gallery may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
